Many people would be surprised at the number of organisations that are actually required to follow child safe standards but don’t realise it.
If you work with children or young people, even indirectly, your organisation may have a responsibility under the Child Safe Standards.
It could be through programs, services, facilities, partnerships, or even volunteers.
We often come across organisations that assume the standards don't apply to them because they are not directly a 'children's service'.
It's why my team and I are constantly working on raising awareness as the first step to making real change.
