Qld State Champion of Child Protection

The Queensland (Qld) Child Protection (CP) Week Awards were recently held at Parliament House to recognise and honour Queenslanders who make the world a better place for vulernable and at risk-children.

With 11 award categories and fierce compeition, we are thrilled to annouce that our CEO, Mel James received the Professional (Non-Government) award for her outstanding contribution to promoting child protection issues in the child protection field.

Presented by Leanne Linard, Minister for Children and Youth Justice and Minister Multicultural Affairs (CYJMA), Mel was honoured to accept the crystal trophy which acknowledges her passion and dedication to improving outcomes for children and young people in foster care across Australia.
