At Social Care Solutions, we believe impact should be more than assumed, it should be intentionally measured, reflected on and strengthened. We are committed to ensuring that the work we deliver is driven by one central purpose: improving outcomes for children, young people and families.
While assessments, interviews, report writing, family meetings, training, planning, stakeholder engagement and practitioner support are all important parts of our work, the true value lies in the impact these efforts create - the safety they strengthen, the confidence they build, the understanding they foster and the informed decisions they help shape.
With this in mind, we are currently piloting the implementation of Impact Measurement Tools across all service streams within Social Care Solutions.
Developed and introduced collaboratively by CEO Mel James and myself, this pilot has been designed to intentionally capture the experiences, feedback and measurable outcomes of children, families, participants and professional stakeholders engaging with our organisation.
The goal is simple: to better understand not only what services we provide, but whether those services are creating meaningful and measurable change in the lives of the children and families connected to our work.
Through this pilot, we are seeking to:
✔ evidence the quality, integrity and effectiveness of SCS services
✔ elevate the voices of those we work alongside
✔ identify opportunities for ongoing reflection and service improvement
✔ strengthen our ability to demonstrate genuine social impact across all areas of practice.
Now midway through implementation, this pilot is already reinforcing something we have always believed - that excellence is not measured simply by completion, but by the difference our work makes where it matters most.
At Social Care Solutions, asking whether we are creating safer, stronger outcomes for children and families is not optional- it is essential.
