Child Protection Practitioner

Rachel brings over twenty years’ experience working with children, families and in communities in NSW and in Queensland. She is a highly skilled practitioner who brings strengths and human rights based partnership approaches to her work. Examples include, child protection, foster care, youth justice and child and family services policy and programs. More recently, Rachel has worked in the areas of disaster welfare and recovery, leading and coordinating services, funding and support to assist communities immediately following disasters. She has also worked in longer term recovery assisting communities to build resilience. Rachel’s has worked in rural, remote, urban and coastal communities. She has held senior leadership roles in management, executive and non-executive positions. Rachel brings significant capability in project management, policy design and implementation and change management.
