Kate has significant experience working with children and families, including over 10 years in child protection and adoption. Kate has worked in a variety of roles within the government and community sectors, including case management, care-coordination, practice development and case review, and team leader positions. She has also worked in research in the field of psychology and has tutored university courses in social identity and adolescent development.

Kate is passionate about social justice and has a particular interest in supporting vulnerable young people to reach their full potential. Kate has been conducting foster carer assessments for Social Care Solutions since 2013. She is also the proud mother of one.
